I don't know what they mean it being unscripted. Is it like a Mike Leigh film? Whatever, its a rather different take on police procedurals without resorting to reenactment 'reality' BS. I dig all the lying suspects and sorting thru the conflicting accounts has a realness that's different. Hand held, peek a boo camera work, inarticulate characters, everyone talking at once. The documentary feel is convincing but once you settle in binge style you settle in and relate to detective characters like other shows.
