Mediocre B-movie (spoilers)
A lot of wasted potential: For a direct-to-video movie it has nice locations, good production values, the guy playing the vampire isn't bad at all. And that ceiling kill was pretty good. But they sabotage it.
- Creepster boss: Stalkery, handsy, and hitting on her almost immediately. Not appropriate, dude. He's supposed to be the romantic hero?
- Mean girl: Behaves more like a bratty junior high school bully rather than a rival college student.
- The protagonist: A flatly portrayed cypher. We know next to nothing about her.
- Is the reveal - an hour into the movie - of which character is the vampire meant to be surprise? As if it weren't obvious, even with the misdirection about light sensitivity.
- While the original was schlocky and dumb, it was still much better than this.
4/10.
