Same thoughts. The story was too convoluted for me.

Movie was not complex for me, it was just that there were multiple layers in the movie and they get uncovered unpredictably. Enjoyed this movie, a true art classic from Bollywood after a hiatus.

Movie stands tall due to unconventional story-line, unparalleled screenplay and novice emotions from leads make it genuine watch.

When you see on Tuesday 7:20 PM show the hall is 70% full then the movie has got appreciation.

I beg to differ, Ravi. Had this been a novel about self-actualization or self-realization or whatever mess you want to call it, I would have accepted it. This was just a mindless slapstick for me where the protagonists start out as nitwits and end up as same. I can handle multiple layers, but when there is no cohesion between these layers, it becomes convoluted. Art of cinema as a source of entertainment is what I basically see in a film. As it is, Tamasha had zero entertainment value. I was bored in the first 20 minutes, and then it took me great courage to stay for the remaining two hours in spite of the sublime and unpredictable uncoverings you mention.

But of course, some of my friends liked it and we all have reached to that point where debating would yield no result. Tamasha will be in the "worst films of 2015" list for me, while I believe it will be on your "good films" list, and we have to accept it, that is the nature of life.

:) agree Tejas, it will be one of the best films I have seen in recent times. For me this film stands as tall as other hit Bollywood films of 2015 : Drishyam (Hindi), Piku, Baby & Dil Dhadkne Do.

Visited your article on cinema, it's wonderful. Saved link in my favorites and will visit again. Keep up the good work. And yes learned quite a few new English words too :)

You said you watched the movie till end, then saying you stop watching this movie ? did you watch it till end or not ?

For me it was an awesome experience, it helped to discover yourselves. You just do not look for usual clinches and submit to director's vision and you will love this movie.

Yes there are lot of fresh faces going around in the movie, few are seen on television and most others are first time appearing on screen.

this movie for me was a magic. It stayed with me post the show, that means it had an effect inner somewhere, just like how Rockstar had though it had sad end and here isn't.

i had watched the movie till end but there was some boring stuff after the interval which i had to skip to get better interest but it failed. Yeah new faces that's for sure but not overall the movie was good. I know it's my reviews, you have yours. if someone asks me to make this movie connections with others the "Rockstar" come first in the list. So keep Enjoying.
