The US version works
Because Rick -mostly- gives fair (and often times MORE than fair) prices, for the stuff he buys (unlike the old man & Corey; & these guys!). As this show proves, there -probably- isn't another pawn shop in the world which will pay (such) great money (Cajun Pawn Stars) and just that fact alone is what keeps me interested...
Rick isn't cheating (desperate) people, who mostly (seem to really) need cash (since they're there, selling), out of their money; minus the traders, ofc. (& the few we've seen, who are there to cheat him, lolz)
.. How capable (of running a business) and confident (in the estimates; and knowledgeable, with the markets) you gotta be, in order to do that - is another thing that's pretty awesome about teh Pawn Stars (US). :)
