Season 3 lost it's charm and humor

I couldn't even finish with the whole season. I think I stopped at Ep 5 or 6...i don't remember because it's just bad. I am surprised that I got as far as I did....just hoping that it will get better.

So, the first few penis jokes were ok..but after that, it just got really stupid. Top that off with more sex jokes, rape jokes, weed jokes, and other bodily functions you would think that this series was written by a male middle school student.

The first season was funny, quirky and had a great ensemble cast. This season is just horrid with his new roommate thrown in haphazardly just to gain a few laughs. Deadbeat is passable and unless it figures out to bring back it's uniqueness, I do not see a renew in its future.

I'm on episode 12 so I'm gonna stick it out. While gross out/bruh humor doesn't bother me, I also agree about S3 lacking the charm of S1-S2. That whole sentimentality that humanized the first two seasons is absent. I like Clyde, but I miss the other characters. What happened? I see that Tyler became a producer for S3... did that have something to do with the show's current state?

Your kidding season 3 is so far the funniest season I have seen so far I wish the other seasons were all this good the only thing that sucks is that cast has all changed and I think that kal Penn being added to the cast is the best thing ever

I agree, the first two seasons were teetering on the brink of being good, but they never hit that last X factor. I couldn't make it a few episodes in before I gave up on both of them, despite being a big fan of the lead. Every episode was just kind of 'meh' and wasn't that funny basically. I would find myself doing through entire episodes without laughing or really even caring how they ended.

This new season actually has funny jokes, and the chemistry between Labine and Penn is pretty fantastic. I see a lot of people saying the opposite though, so we're probably in the minority. But as someone who wasn't big on seasons 1&2, I find season 3 to be the most watchable of them by far.

I kind of knew things wouldn't be the same as season 1 and 2. He lost his best friend, his girlfriend, and his home. There was nowhere to go but gross humor because he's a sloppy pothead who finds it hard to care about anything. I've only watched a few episodes, but I'll keep watching.

I couldn't make it through the first episode of the 3rd season. You saved me from giving it a chance. I really liked the seasons 1 and 2. Too bad it tanked.

I agree. I enjoyed the two first ones, but this season was such a let down. Too focused on sex jokes, lazy writing, no Lucy DeVito, and no pink little ghost.
