shareThis movie was filmed in Charlemont, Massachusetts. Charlemont is on Route 2A in the Northwestern part of the Commonwealth. The mountains you see are part of the northern reaches on the Appalachian Mountains. The Mohawk Trail which the kids were hiking crosses the Hoosac Range, which is part of the Berkshires.
There were clues; Massachusetts license plates; a route 2A road sign and a Mohawk Trail sign when they were at the parking lot looking for their car.
