I agree. Maybe it was the whiny way he reacts to having to share the house in the first scene, but I found him unlikable from the start. He never become engaging, which is just one of the numerous flaws in this movie.
And while movie characters don't have to be physically attractive, his unkempt beard serves no purpose and makes looking at him unpleasant. His lack of grooming is especially incongruous when contrasted with the obvious gym time the actor's put in, which ridiculous pains are taken to show off. It feels self-indulgent on the part of the actor or director to always have him walking around in his briefs, a towel, or that ridiculous little robe that doesn't close. Yeah, the actor's in shape, but the way this is shown is just one more awkward, amateurish aspect of this movie.
