knots landing

Ok maybe tbis makes me old but i swear the old man who had a creature come out through his guts ala alien looked exactly a 30 years older version of Kevin Dobson from Knots Landing back in the early 80's. It doesn't list him nor does it say anything about this movie on his page, but nontheless i'm 99.44% convinced he was the creature thru the guts guy. Anyone know one way or another? Maybe he has a perfect doppelganger.
