DC always had a sharp advantage in quality and quantity when it came to animated movies.
But JL:War and Son of Batman have shown a noticeable dip in that quality.
I was excited when they announced a shared animated universe for DC but now I'm not so sure if that's a good thing.
Which one? Because Marvel has a lot of fairly good animated shows.

Animated movies. Not shows.
The only good animated movie Marvel has made is the Wolverine v. Hulk and that was just one half.
Planet Hulk, Ultimate Avengers, Doctor Strange, Tales of Asgard.
Those are the few good ones that come to mind. DC has so many because... well, that's all they've got. Marvel entertainment is focussing more on the live action movies than the animation.

I wasn't a fan of Planet Hulk (The comic is so much better) I though Ultimate Avengers 1 was ok, but the sequel was awful.
I like the movie, but the comic is SOOOOOOOO COOL! I love space spartacus. Spacacus? Hulkacus? Spartahulk?
The marvel animation films are all ok. Even Technovore isn't as bad as people try to say it is. Actually, I really enjoyed Rise of TEchnovore. It reminded me of the old DBZ films. All action, no plot.
DC animated films are mostly great, but lately, since they outsource a korean animation studio, the movies have gotten pretty lame. Even War was... blegh.

I agree than Hulk vs Wolverine is clearly the best Marvel animated film, and IMO the only one that's worth comparing to the DC films. Doctor Strange, Hulk vs Thor and Planet Hulk are my next favorites and they barely get a fresh rating from me.
I recently saw the new Punisher/Black Widow film and I was hoping they would start to make good films but it's still the same as the most of the rest(worth a watch but totally forgettable after a while).

I think UA1 is the best Marvel animated movie then Hulk Vs.
Doctor Strange was really good too.
The first Iron Man movie was HORRIBLE.
It's like they made it a bad movie on purpose.
DC comics owns Marvel when it comes to animated movies and tv shows.
Of course Marvel owns DC with the live action movies.

Ya, Marvel owns DC in live action movies (Keep Dreaming). Marvel will never put anything on the level of The Dark Knight. Even The Avengers pales in comparison unless your 12 years old. (Let alone DC movies such as Watchmen and Sin City, which are both in my top ten movies of all time along with movies like The Good The Bad and The Ugly, and 2001 A Space Odyssey!).

I wasn't terribly fond of this, but still miles ahead of the recent Iron Man DTVs, wouldn't others agree?
(Although I must say those films even had better voice acting than Son of Batman.)
