Hope it's as good as the Captain Scarlet remake was
And hopefully, it will be enough to get that bad taste of the 2004 Thunderbirds movie out of my mouth, although the memories of that have long since faded. The first thing the makers of this new show should do is sit down and analyze why people liked the original show. Then stick to that and give the audience what it wants. Do not under any circumstances go in with what they can change as their priority. That's what that idiot Frakes did. The vehicles and tech were some of the stars of the show. Fill out the characters, but don't change them so much that we can't even recognize them. Bill Paxton as a distinguished family patriarch really didn't work in any universe, at least not for another 25 years or so.
One thing I would like to see is better uniforms. Not because the old ones were terrible, although the 2004 ones were definitely bland and awful. They're definitely dated, but I just want something more practical. Full face helmets that give some protection and hide their identities, with an opaque mask over the nose and mouth but heavily tinted visor that shows more of their eyes so we can still see the characters emoting. It felt stupid in the Thunderbirds Are Go movie when they all went out to the Swinging Star club wearing fake beards because they normally go on missions unmasked. Make the uniforms consistent but give them some distinguishing features so we know who's who. Maybe some big numbers on front and back, matching the vehicle number. That would also mean they can call each other "One" or "Two" rather than using their real first names in public. Move the International Rescue logo to the shoulder as a large patch, which doesn't look as stupid as a large logo on the chest. Not skintight, but more "tactical" with cargo pockets and a load-bearing harness, sort of like a cross between a flight suit, photographer's vest and cargo pants. It worked in the first Captain America movie that his combat costume looked like a spruced up version of an army uniform.
