I'm not sure if it will be live action, but it's going to air on CITV - Children's television. Unfortunately this likely means that the Thunderbirds franchise is, once again, not going to be directed at the adult demographic. Instead, it will be used to occupy the time of children. So while the cast looks good, I'm afraid the storylines will be fairly shallow. That's not good for a franchise we would like to see taken more seriously and directed at adult audiences. For now we will have to keep wondering if anyone will ever decide to take this franchise to the adult level.

Well..this was (one of) my favorite series as a child and I hope that for 'children' of 2015+ it will become one of theirs. I think children of the past few decades had little to nothing to help spark their imaginations on a level that children should have. I hope this begins to turn that around.

As an adult, I lived through a few bastardized attempts of "Thunderbirds are a go!" and maybe if this material is good as its source, adults will get a version as it is intended. Until such time, I'm glad to see it back.

Um, the name was Abby. Abby something-or other-Normal.

Lambiepie-2 -- very good points, thank you. I also discovered Thunderbirds as a kid, and it also inspired me. I think that as an adult now I'm longing for a better and more credible treatment of Thunderbirds. I think the material could be made into an interesting and potentially blockbuster feature film, but that may require a re-boot similar to what we've seen with Star Trek and James Bond. Only then would I be able to share Thunderbirds with my friends and family and not get funny looks. I'm pleased that there is a good fan base for Thunderbirds, and I hope the owners of the franchise read and consider some of our comments here.

Derek Graham, who was the original voice of Parker/Brains, etc; was just on The One Show (looking extremely fit for someone of around 90!). He said that the new Thunderbirds is going to be in CGI, and he is going to be doing the voices!

That's very good to hear, I'm looking forward to seeing it, and still hoping that this new version brings Thunderbirds into the mainstream.
