Acutely Jeff was the son of a Kansas wheat farmer and when hes father died he invested most of his inheritance into a company which manufactures farming equipment. when Jeff was either called up or volunteered to serve his country, he chose a career in the air force testing experimental planes and meets the mother of his children, Lucuile while on leave. Meanwhile with the money earned from "Tracy Technologies", the name of his company, he expanded to supply parts and stuff for the airforce and then to NASA when he decided to become an astronaut as well. During a test flight Jeff crashes a space plane and ends up near what will one day be Tracy Island.
So to answer ur question farming equipment, later a technology specialist provoider (which is where all the stuff for the Thunderbird machines come from) is how Jeff Got rich.
