CITV should NOT have been involved with this

For a start i'm sure I read that Gerry Anderson said the show wasn't solely aimed at kids and secondly don't those bozos over at ITV remember what happened to Captain Scarlet and that rubbish Frakes film?

Scarlet was actually pretty well done and adult but then they shoved it on Saturday morning in the middle of some irritating kids show and nobody watched and of course the 2004 film which the fans hated too because it was an irritating kiddy film. this new Thunderbirds has it's good elements and isn't as bad as that Frakes crap ....and hopefully will get better [i say that with extreme caution] but the association with a kids tv channel really doesn't do the whole thing any favours. and of course it's on at 8 o clock in the morning. what smart person decided that was a good time to put it on!

Well after the ludicrously fast paced first episode/s it was nice that the third one had a bit more breathing space.
And it's availalbe on ITV player, so there's no reason to worry about getting up early or even setting the recorder.
But why isn't it availalbe in High Definition? Those models looked gorgeous in HD in the first part, but now we can get it only in standard def. What a waste...

But we shouldn't have to use ITV player to watch it at a decent time and don't forget even if you can record it or watch it on catch up the very fact they've put what could have been a big show on primetime on a terrible saturday morning slot next to Sooty and other kids cartoons shows what ITV think of the Thunderbirds phenomenon and it's many older fans.

Man you said it SinisterCreep!

You figured after the Captain Scarlet fiasco back in 2005 they'd have learnt their lesson by now and given the new show some 'breathing room' but no they're ITV they just have to cock up everything.

Last week's premiere episodes were actually on at the right time akin to how Gerry Anderson marketed his original shows back in the 60's with a nice neat slot at around; 5.00PM or 6.00PM on its digital repeat channel etc. Where the new show would be receiving more exposure to more people during the day. But alas no, they think shows like this have only a viable market that is purely kids/pre-schoolers and thus miss out on showing actual families the new show at a mid afternoon or near evening time slot. Today's TV executives can't programme television right for s--t unfortunately!

Sorry but i had to be a bit more forceful there to get across how much they always screw up. The BBC might burn money too but at least they have the potential there to be far better and don't squander their resources or time and schedules as much as ITV wastes money and doesn't bother to do any decent programming at all.

The early 90's were the last time terrestrial programming was at its peak. Its never been the same ever since, yes all regular television was never the same after cable and satellite revolution. And since that time we've gone a step further with digital downloads with online services and minor digital programmes which offer us tons more programmes online for viewing but the programming was still considerably top notch and well done back in the day.

Even if other older fans know the show isn't aimed at us we recognize the fact the right programming slot on ITV would get the right exposure for the series and promo it moreso with today's families and audiences, not just kids only cos its CGI animated. *sigh* and when will that ignorant attitude ever die off?, not everything animated is for kids only. But with ITV programming i guess the old stereotype never will die though huh, it'll be blatantly reinforced instead sadly??!
