Grandma Tracy Can't Cook !!!

It's really the last straw. Must we take away the woman's sole purpose, to provide her grandsons with good nutritious food to fuel their bodies so that they can perform their heroic deeds? No wonder they are all so skinny ! Do the writers think that making her non-domestic is "modern" ? And the track suit...really ?

Please please say you are trolling...You misogynistic old fool.

A lifelong Thunderbirds fan cannot be considered a troll. I am watching the new series just as you are and we both have a right to our own opinions. Let us simply agree to disagree like gentlemen and move on.

i'm not sure why they chose to make her a bad cook..

i'm not sure about the original grandma's cooking was it she did too much or was she bad then ?

it's a nice joke to have once in a while but it's getting old..

Her other purpose is to provide her grandchildren with good solid advice and pep talks when required. And she did that very well in the blackout episode. Also when she was trying to get Alan to study.

No! She was a great cook ! She was always feeding the boys and on the Christmas episode, she and Kyrano were making enough food for an army. Well, there were twelve for dinner.

I would say that they do tend to overplay the stereotype a bit on this show, smart people have glasses, Indians and Asians are smart, teenagers are bratty smartpants, the women mostly dont do much, unless they're sexy or super smart, or in Grandma's case, do the cooking and being their mom, while the macho guys play with their toy rockets etc.

I'd have to rewatch the original series to compare the differences, because i cant remember much from it, other than the vehicles.

They were bordering overusing the burnt cookies joke, but in some episodes they actually made me laugh out loud, especially in Episode 13, during a serious moment when a gravitywell was pulling the Worldwide Space Station out of orbit and put it in danger of crashing down onto Earth, John is looking at the radar and with a serious voice says: "It's going to burn up like grandma's cooking." This was pretty unexpected and made me laugh, her cooking is so bad that it served as an analogy to describe the situation, poor grandma :)
