Entertaining and well made reboot

First off, I'm pleased that the general reaction has been positive. The plot holds to the spirit of the show (with an update), the sets are beautifully made, the new Thunderbirds are interesting revamps and there are a lot of little nods for fans of the original to look out for (David Graham, Peter Dyneley, the famous orange juicer, etc.).

Now, here comes the 'but' - two small things that are just a bit of a shame to lose. One is the Thunderbirds march, almost entirely lost. The decision to completely change rather than re-orchestrate Barry Gray's masterpiece is difficult to understand to say the least. The other thing missing, as others have said, is the loss of that feeling of weight and momentum when the Thunderbirds are in flight or hovering. I feel that if it can be achieved with small scale models on strings, it could have been a little better even on low budget CGI.

Anyway, overall an entertaining half hour that will hopefully keep another generation of children glued to their seats.
