why does TB 1 + TB 2 need launch pads ?
TB 1 & TB 2 both launch from the island on pads, but seem to have no problem landing / taking off like morden day aircraft during missions.
Fuel weight? It's the same with a lot of stol/vtol aircraft.
That or it's the fact it's a kids TV programme and it makes it so much cooler having it? :-D
