I wanted to like this movie

Being a huge Bella Thorne fan I really wanted to like this movie, so I watched it. It seemed kind of.. plain?.. compared to other movies I saw. The main bad ghost didn't seem scary or frightening at all.

As much as I love Bella Thorne ... I think her performance was a bit dull. And her character seemed very unimportant. I know that she was the motivation for Max to be good at magic, but she just seemed so pointless. It was like the only reason she was in the film was because she was hot.

Seemed like her and Max didn't have much chemistry together either.

Also the pairing of Ryan O and Bella Thorne didn't seem to mesh well with me either ... maybe because Bella Thorne looks like she's 26 and Max looks like his actual age.
