Bad Version of Superbad

My thoughts exactly. I like Cecily Strong and thought the SNL people would make it funny, but the plot was basically Superbad except they couldn't manage to make up for the blatant misogyny and stereotypes with charm because there was no charm.

This clearly shows my age, but I thought it was most inspired by Caddyshack. The Fred Armison scenes sealed the deal for me.

That said, the consistency between those three movies is that they were created by Lorne Michaels-era SNL comics, if not produced by the man himself. Also, they all make good use of the SNL cast members of their respective periods who have not quite broken into the mainstream.
