They're entirely different characters, so it should work. It wouldn't work if Carell had decided to play Scott exactly like Brent.
You might be able to tell that I'm a fan of both.
I agree. It would be fun to see, especially since Gervais had a cameo on The Office (US). But nothing major; just a quick passing scene.
