Why Roman wanted to kill Samuel so bad?

If he wanted to kill everyone, why he ask 'where is he?' when half of the people is still alive? I'm pretty sure, somehow, Samuel is important to Roman... but why?

Am I missing something?

Roman is just a violent but stupid loan shark that wants to kill everyone against him and eventually led himself to death. That's all
