This is a pretty good movie - lots of comedic moments

I found part one of this movie in a local dollar store. It was interesting and I was surprised to find the movie has this sequel.

I have been watching the sequel and it has some hysterically funny moments.

Spoiler alert: there's a scene where to guys are trying to escape and one tells the other 'you can't fit through the bars...you've been eating grits and cornbread'. It's the kind of thing that would make southerners laugh...

There's another scene where the lead pirate is giving the other pirate's a 'pep talk'...One pirate's cellphone goes off and he starts talking...the other pirates look annoyed. The pirate hangs up and says...'it was THE WIFE'. Another funny moment.

In short, this film has a lot of good clean comedy. There are veteran actors like Christopher Lloyd from Back to the Future to add gravitas to the cast. The guys who play the pirates are not only talented but they have great comedic talent.

I think it's a pretty good family-type movie.

Sadly, it looks like this movie got 'shelved' or placed on the back burner. There are so many other teen-centered movies with so much violence in the theatres so I can see how this got overshadowed... Hunger Games, Divergent, Percy Jackson all have bigger budgets but the talent here is just as good if not the budget. Just my two cents.
