Writing around Yu's door? Also, on her name?

1. In the pre-release scenes there was writing on lavender-ish paper on either side of Yu's door. Can someone tell us what was written. Had it to do with her husband being in a labor camp?

2. The credits list the teacher's name as Feng Wanyu, yet throughout the movie, at least in the sub-titles she was referred to only as Yu. Can this usage please be explained.
