SPOILER: Powerful epilogue

I know that there has been some criticism of GOING HOME because it's too "soft" on the critique of the government. Of course, Yimou has chosen to stay in China and continue to make films, so he has to be careful in order to be allowed to continue to do so.

But, the epilogue is so powerful, so poignant that it overcomes many of the movie's flaws to deliver as potent a political message about that lost generation in China - all without a single word being spoken. Sublime.

Why not just enjoy a wonderful movie and relax about an acurate portrayal of the cultural revolution

Gosh, I missed the epilogue. What exactly did it say?

Pretty sure the OP is referring to the part of the film that takes place "Many Years Later" at the end.
