Im kind of interested in this movie, mostly becasue of its rotten tomatoes score, but the trailer didn't seem that interesting to me. Is it just a love story? Or is there more to it?

shareAnd its about the music biz, how sexist it is, what lots of women have to do to get promoted, about a too-strong mom and a little bit about what police officers go through! Fantastic film!!!!
shareIts more than a love story. It is about the internal struggle of a child singer (in theory) who is controlled by her mother. She does everything she is told and asked of her, even when it is hypocritical. There is lots of depth to this film if you are inclined enough to notice it and actually THINK about the message.
shareNot that deep because the character herself is not very deep. It's a basic romance that wants to be more, but isn't.
