you would think (spoiler)

small town, the boy was last seen hanging out in the woods-I bet cadaver dogs would have found him instantly.

Its one plot point that was unsatisfying in the movie.
In a small town, how do 2 key people have an affair and nobody seems to notice that either.
Personally I thought that the body was dumped down the old mine shaft but we have no clue as to where it was so we have no idea how difficult it may have been to find it.

These are points that dragged to movie down and left us with loose ends and an unsatisfying ending.

Agreeing, bigtime Starduster...FURTHERMORE, I get the whole 'Diana & Amos -are-both-conflicted -people-who-find-each-other'line,however A),how would they NOT be immediately 'found out'in this less-than-1-horse-town, and MOSTLY,,B), who the HELL would want an affair with ANYone a week or 2 after your child is missing/maybe dead? Having lost my OWN first born Son last year, I COULDN'T have, with a GUN to my head!!! Just did NOT 'buy' that entire angle!!!
