I don't think the show deserves an 8.1. Whilst season 3 is awesome, it still has two terrible and poorly seasons before it, so to me, this show deserves at least a 5.0, though this could be subject to change when we get Seasons 4 and 5, if we get them.

I agree. Crystal seasons I-II: 6/10. Crystal season III: 7/10. The classic anime is still easily better to me.
The rating is overblown, but let them, we need to gain momentum to persuade the producers to finish the whole manga and make seasons IV and V. Then, after a couple of years, when the hype is gone, things will fall into perspective.
At least Stars has a rating of 8.5/10 here, which is great!
