Davis and his father (Ron)... (spoilers)

.... were really the "assholes". Self absorbed and selfish and in Ron's case, unforgiving to the detriment of their entire family. Davis sure didn't seem very caring about what Cassie was going through after aborting (murdering) their child. Instead he goes off to meet his estranged family, leaving her alone with her depression, sorrow and guilt. Then he completely willfully cheats on her with Alexis, THEN he treats Alexis like crap and says she'll never see her again. Ok, so what Josh and Rebecca did was "wrong" but guess what? People do "wrong" things all the time and if no one ever forgave, this world would be an awful place. Ron and his parents shunned them to the point of Rebecca killing herself but do they feel regret? Apparently not in that Ron STILL wouldn't forgive Josh, who definitely seemed willing to reconcile. Hell, if Josh killed himself it appears Ron wouldn't care after all two dead siblings are better than one... NOT! Josh and his family seemed to be the not perfect but decent, human side of the family. Josh lived in seclusion as a judged and hated man for years but quickly warmed up (to a degree) to Davis even to the point of giving him an explanation of what transpired, which his own father wouldn't do. The daughters accepted his as well as their mom who was a bit of a wackadoodle, but a harmless one. Alexis did go off the rails a bit but it was because she had genuine feeling for Davis and he totally shit on her to the point of punching her in the face and knocking her out!!

So what happens? Davis drives home with his despicable father and passes judgement on the people who were kind, respectful and accepting of him. Then he again rejects Alexis but shows her some kindness (after she threatens him) and goes up and blatantly lies to Cassie.
