No justice for Justin whatsoever.

This man tried to use the fact that he raised a black family member to show he didn't care that the boys were black. He was just mad his adopted daughter was having des in the house. He held them against their will. The kid was 18 and she was 14 and she invited them in. Those girls (they weren't clear on age of other girl) are just as culpable as this Norman is. They should be ashamed. Norman is a POS that clearly didn't give a *beep* he killed someone. Instead he shot a kid because he was banging his daughter. After the POS is released then he starts going off on this dead kid. Sick. Hope he gets ran over by an onion truck. Yes, Norman it would have been better if they'd killed you except they were invited guests to your home by your kid. If she hadn't invited them over at 0300 or whenever that kid would still be alive. He may not have been an angel but he didn't deserve to die for screwing your "sweet little angel." She seemed a bit too happy at the end of the documentary. Gross family. Weird laughter. Sleeping with her boyfriend and having nightmares. Wonder if that boyfriend is acceptable to old Norman.

For sure. This Norman Neesmith is a real piece of work. He doesn't seem to realize that, even though he may have raised a young black girl, he's still a racist piece of slime.

What really ticks me off, though, is that he got away with the murder. Had this occurred in just about any other state, save perhaps Alabama, he probably would have been convicted of 2nd degree murder. He hadn't planned it, so 1st degree wouldn't have stuck, nor been appropriate. He had NO REASON at all for shooting the kid. The kid was running away. I don't believe for one second that he was running at him. This guy is nothing but a bigoted old man with some sick ideals. What makes the whole situation even worse is that you can easily see that he isn't alone. That whole area is full of scumbags just like him. It's sad.

What they need to do is move all of the black people out of there to new communities, then build a wall around all of the "traditional" people who just love their "heritage", and let them just live out the rest of their lives until they are all gone. Then, when that's done, tear down the wall and bulldoze the place. This still goes on in 2015 and it makes me absolutely sick.

And I just love that woman who said that people who think that the confederate flag is racist aren't stupid, they are just ignorant. I had to laugh, as she was too stupid to realize that she was the one who was ignorant.

That piece of crap murdered an unarmed young man for no good reason and gets ONE year in a detention center and he thought that was too much of a punishment.

Whoever said he was pissed that he was with his precious daughter was right -- you had the gun you *beep* just tell them to get out or call the cops. And that idiot district attorney couldn't even string a few words together to form a complete sentence for a logical explanation.

I just don't understand how that disgusting killer got off this lightly!!! This is outrageous. He wasn't even remorseful on top of everything. What kind of judge let's a scumbag murderer off so lightly?!! I would want to kill Neesmith and that judge. Just punishment? WTF

His lack of remorse was just as shocking as the verdict. He complained that when the family addressed the court, they didn't express sympathy for what, "He had been through". He's still angry that the family didn't reach out to him and apologize for what their son had done to him. What a low-life.

I still cant believe that black people would still choose to live amongst those people, those old fashion racist, that just wont die out, you would think that the black/white kids born in the 80's and 90's would change things, in that county or town, but the smart ones move away and never come back and the dumb-a**s stay and keep the racism alive and strong, it's better all the black people that live in certain parts of the south, to just pack up everything and move to another state or even to canada and give their citizenship, it's allot better than living in the south.

I completely agree. And I'm sure the disgusting, racist murderer is OK with her new man because judging by the features of Danielle's little girl, the father is obviously white. How conflicted and twisted they all are. Sick, sad and yes, DISGUSTING.

As an older male I get where Norman is coming from. I'm not sure I could have resisted shooting two males if I caught them having sex at 3am with my 14 year old daughter. One, how do I know it's not rape? And two, I don't know these kids(I didn't invite them in). I think the logical thing to do at that moment would have been to shoot both the young men. Of course Norman didn't do that. He somehow restrained himself from shooting them right away. That took a lot of guts in my opinion. Either that or he was just too scared to kill another person (two in this case). At least right away.

Best case scenario would have been for Norman to just tell the young men they needed to leave right away. Failing that, there was little chance this situation could have been resolved without altercation of some sort. Emotions are simply too high for any father at this point. Especially one with a gun that is looking at two males who were just screwing his 14-year old daughter.
