Dumb, not racist

I really don't see why everyone thinks this was a racist attack. What's the situation here? A guy wakes up at 3AM and finds a guy having sex with his daughter. If I were in that situation I don't really know what I would do. Id like to believe that Im sane enough to not shoot the guy but at the same time Im not 100% sure that I wouldn't. Especially if I had just woken up. His daughter said she regretted not saying anything and just going along with the situation, If that was the case, how do we know that the dad didnt think they were rapists. I believe its her fault just as much as his. If you know your dad is the type of person to shoot someone for being in the house, don't invite people into the house without his knowledge. If he always slept with a gun by his bed, Im sure she knew that it was a possibility. We all made dumb decisions as teenagers but now her dad has to live with the fact that he killed someone, That being said, I don't think that what he did was right at all. Just ignorant, you cant really just shoot people. He deserved way more time because his actions were really dumb. I just don't think they were motivated by race.
