I've always thought Zuma was a girl dog based on her name.

No, zuma is male. I had the same question, but while reading a paw patrol book too my two year old, zuma is referred to as "him" and "he".

So my question was answered

Cool. Didn't know that.

When first watching the show, I figured Zuma is male. In the one episode, when Chase got out his megaphone to talk to the pups, and they were standing only a few feet away from him, Zuma said:

"We're right here, dude."

How many other females say "dude"? 

Skye is my niece's favorite, of course. She's so badass, the only girl dog and she can fly a plane. So badass, lol.
