terrible

Wow this just looks absolutely pitiful.

It looks like it wants to be a Gasper Noe so bad

The lack of rape, brutal violence and explicit drug use, as well as a free floating camera feel would lead me to say, "No."
Sure, the title card is reminiscent of "Enter the Void" but that's it.
Next you'll be saying "Crystal Fairy" looks like Wes Anderson

Good call! Crystal Fairy does look like Wes Anderson... a hairier Wes Anderson.

I didn't like this movie, but at least I've actually SEEN it. What kind of dolt posts an IMBD thread about a movie with the subject line "Terrible," yet has only seen the trailer (I'm assuming), if that? This thread's OP dolt, I guess.

The OP didn't say they didn't like it, they said they didn't like the look of it. That's quite important. We all have to make a judgement call on whether we like the sound of a movie. I'm a shameless movie cover critic. I'll decide not to watch a movie just from the cover.

Here's my list of things I look for.

Quality cover - see above
The actors - there are certain actors that you can use as markers to instantly avoid or grab the movie. We all have our favourites actors we love or hate
The Director - same as actors
IMDB - Yup I do check here first, if its a 5 or less, I'll pass
IMDB - First review. That can be pretty helpful but spoilers are a problem with eager reviewers delighting in telling you all the plot points you should discover watching the movie, not reading the review
The Age rating - I'm wary of 15's. PG is normally a no unless its Pixar or some really high quality known series
Breasts - This is a good one. Are there breasts on the cover? I don't mean exposed, but cleavage. If yes, avoid movie.
IMDB comments - Sometimes I'm intrigued by a movie and the comments can sometimes help illuminate a movie in unusual ways, good and bad.

That's it. Pretty basic huh? I watch a fair few movies a week and the choice is overwhelming but out of curiosity, if you find it crazy that someone would judge a movie before seeing it, how do you decide whether to watch or avoid?

What's the conversation topic you're aiming for here? I can't fathom how someone thought it was worth creating a thread to share this reaction to the trailer. Apparently you have no one else in your life to talk to and just wanted to write something on the internet.
