V/H/S?

Anybody else notice how Darknet is much more like a long lost cousin of the V/H/S franchise than a distant relative of The Twilight Zone? Only instead of cataloging the bizarre and twisted on videocassette tapes, the tales were incorporated into an online message forum. That was pretty a pretty compelling story-telling device. It really tied everything together with a modern technological twist, and it kept me hooked for the entire season!

I sure hope this series continues, as it clearly has a lot of potential!

Yes--I thought the same thing.

Agree, but I liked the frame story here more. V/H/S would have been great 10 or so years ago. I never really understood why someone would convert memory card video onto cassette tape. But Darknet is more fitting to modern technology. Also the ending looks like a start of a cult following. = More variety of criminals. Really no limit.

I think this is more logical than V/H/S, there seem to be more ties and connections than the video tapes have.

I'd personally liken it to saw in a sense that the characters have coincidental links throughout their lives but each seem to have their own goreish demise

It does remind me a lot of VHS but more so of Black Mirror, these two shows seem extremely similar. Black mirror is a bit more twilight zone-ish while Darknet is more like VHS

That's funny because maybe 6 months ago, a friend & I one night randomly came across V/H/S while tripping shrooms lol....fell in love, watched all 3 that night into the morning

All this time later I stumble across this on Netflix, immediately fall in love, again. This show is seriously very good. & yes, similar to V/H/S, maybe why I felt so comfortable with the feel & of the show as I watched.

Hard to say which I prefer. VHS is so over the top. But this show, damn. A+ they really need more seasons. or faith in humanity will be lost
