Is this ok for young teens?

I haven't seen the show yet. Is it ok to watch with young teens who really like ghost horror like The Ring and Insidious, but are not ready for extreme stuff like Saw and Hostel?

Thanks!

The show is dope, but I think you know your kids better than anyone, so you should really make the decision yourself. Watch an episode before them, if you haven't already.

Perfect

Saw American Werewolf before teens and loved it. Saw the original Omens in early teens and they gave me nightmares even though less gore and older.

As YoungPup said, you know them best and watching them first and then together?

... Sanity and Happiness are an impossible combination ...

There isn't as much blood and human destruction as saw and hostel, it's more of a puzzle to watch than a gorefest. Personally wouldn't feel guilty letting my younger teenage sister watch it, reckon she could get her teeth into it

It's tamer than The Ring. Stoll pretty dark though.

I wouldn't think so. There are some very twisted elements to the series. It can get pretty nihilistic and sinister and I don't think young teen brains (for the most part) should be bathed in this kind of thing. Even if they occasionally watch horror films, I personally think it would be possible to over-saturate somebody with this kind of thing.

Well said.

Check the Parental section on the front page:The front page that pops up when you search for "Darknet" in the IMDB search engine. There is a parental section that will tell you about every episodes sex scenes, foul language,gore,etc..

I have kids and the parental guide is the best judge as you can see the content yourself and then decide since, like other comment said, you know your kids the best.
I've only seen the fist episode and will allow my 15 yr old daughter to watch, if she chooses. She will read an episode and decide herself. We watch Criminal Minds and Law and Order and she will skip over episodes with content that she feels she shouldn't or doesn't want to see (I do the same thing regarding any subjects that have children being abused, for example). My other kids are still watching Nickelodeon so no worries there!

Oh Crap! There usually is a parental section that tells you about what I just described in my earlier post. But Dang it I can not find on this one. Very Sorry!!

reply

Yes it will teach them about texting in the first 5 minutes
