Fawns New Look

Is anyone else wondering why Fawn has a new look ?

reply

Totally! We actually slo-moed the preview to get a good shot, and to make sure it was Fawn.

Yeah, I just looked through the new merch at the Disney Store and saw all kinds of Fawn everything--plush, doll, costume. Figures that she's the star of this movie; that explains it. Her outfit does look different from the usual, and her signature longarse braid appears to be a ponytail instead.

And yeah, it would be good if, instead of this being the last fairy movie, they did one more to bridge the gap between the "Disney Fairy" stories & Peter Pan. It'd be good to see how Tink came to leave Pixie Hollow, and be Peter's constant companion.

Hmm interesting.. She looks thinner and sexier than in the other movies. Is this their way of trying to get people to want to watch this or something? Or do they just think no one would want to buy a doll that isn't "beautiful"..? It's really weird. Too bad, I liked the way Fawn looked in the other movies. She seemed more down to earth.

I think that's exactly why they did it. Merchandising. They assume little girls won't want costumes or dolls that are not glamorous. Fawn had a cute tomboyish look and I think they decided that wouldn't sell as well. Really unfortunate because that was one of the things that made Fawn so cute and set her apart from the others :(

She actually looked in close-up a bit more like Ginnifer Goodwin (her voice this time) than she had before, so maybe there's that.

But yeah, sort of betrays the character to make her suddenly glamorous. Her freckles were nearly all gone, as were her leggings. Otherwise, she didn't act all that different, I thought
