Am I the only person who was weirded out that her mom set with her while she had a Pap smear? Eeeewwwww!!!!

It was even more rediculous that she called her mom and said "get here now" like there was some kind of genuine emergency and the low and behold the mother jumped right on command and got there even before the doctor could make it in.

They both act the exact same, the mom babys them both to the same degree and so I didnt think it was necessary to create a seperate thread to comment on Brittany. But yes, it was ridiculous. To see two grown women, I guess you can say, needing their mommy. Brit could've just walked out without flipping out and her mom didn't need to run to Briana's aid. She babies the hell out of these girls! As if Brit couldn't have drove Briana and herself to the doctor for a effin Pap smear and birth control! I got my first pap and BC consultation at 17 and alone! I went through all my prenatal check ups by myself unless my boyfriend wasn't at work. My mom didn't hold my hand through every little thing but it doesn't mean she didn't help or support me. Roxanne treats these girls like they're 6 years old! Ughhh!!
Did you see the end? Brittany wasn't ready to go to the doctor since the last time she went was to have her abortion. It looks like she never really expressed to her family how it still affected her until that point. Since this was filmed more than a year ago, hopefully Brittany has closure on her abortion.
Roxanne babies her daughters but this instance at the doctor's office wasn't a big deal. She was in the room with Briana but it's not like she had a front row view of Briana's vagina while the doctor did the Pap smear. I'd rather in that birth control situation Roxanne be involved and helpful than be like Mackenzie's mother who didn't want Mackenzie to be on birth control and lives in some fantasy world.
I feel bad for Brittany. I think she has a lot of unresolved issues surrounding her abortion, and I don't think her mother or sister are really offering her any help to come to terms with her decision. They're so focused on Briana and Nova that they're basically pushing Brittany and her problems to the side. Just because Brittany made that choice doesn't mean she's one-hundred-percent fine with it and can get over it by herself. Therapy would do her and Briana a world of good. Too bad their mom would probably insist on sitting in on their sessions and micromanaging it.

shareIt was weird. Very, very weird. Also who goes to the same doctor with their sibling at the same time for the same procedure? I have 2 sisters and would never, ever be bothered going to the OBGYN with them unless we're finding out the sex of their baby or there's a big C scare.

I don't understand how Brianna can be so dramatically uncomfortable with a papsmear when she's already gone thru a pregnancy and childbirth. That's beyond ridiculous. I have never needed my mom for anything like that.
Its also ridiculous that they're uncomfortable with carrying around condoms in their purses. How can they shy away from doing the responsible thing? Especially when they have both gone thru the consequences of not being responsiable
Reminds me of the time I told my mom I was using condoms the entire first year after giving birth to my son. I wasn't able to get health insurance at that time so of course my only form of birth control was condoms. Wanted to let my mom know I was being safe so she wouldn't have to worry. She was so weirded out but why? I had already had sex, got pregnant and given birth! Lol as for getting a Pap smear, it's very uncomfortable but I don't my mommy for that.
