Good detective work

I like detective stories. But the problem with most detective stories is that they are not very realistic from a common man's perspective. I mean, how many people work as private detectives or deal with murder cases? But in The Heart Machine we have a detective story that most people can relate to. A guy piecing together information about his online girlfriend, using materials that he can get from Facebook and Skype conversations. Also known as online stalking. Most people have done that to some extent. I'm not sure I followed all the steps as to how he was able to find the girl's apartment. But overall, his detective work seemed pretty relatable. Nice movie.
