It's like a refreshing anime in the ilk of DBZ, with some very engaging characters and great animation.. Definitely a show that has caught my attention after so many years of blandness..

sharei agree wholeheartedly. It's the anime that got me into anime. The pacing, the action, the lovable characters, and the soundtrack my god the soundtrack.
I now watch anime regularly and recently attend a anime convention, with no shortage of Ryuko and Mako cosplayers. LOL.

I watched one episode so far, and I really liked it!
I don't watch much anime because it all looks the same to me, but every once in a while, I see something that I find intriguing. My favorite is Best Student Council! Those crazy girls and their absolutely insane school!
My niece and nephew watch quite a bit of it, and I usually watch two or three episodes before I give up, but Dragonball Z Kai grew on me, and I find Ouran High School Host Club to be absolutely hysterical! (Three cheers for the Zuka Club!)
And Hetalia! That's definitely weird enough to be noted.
A friend of mine recommended Kill La Kill, and I was definitely intrigued by the episode I saw. Ryuko (who I think is the main character) was fighting a guy in a gigantic green battle-suit and when he lost, he had his eyes sewn shut so he could be a better fighter and he won the next fight.
