at beginning of the movie..when they were having sex... he seemed so into having a baby and starting life as parents and she seemed distanced.
she didn't want that life in Barcelona, without a job that she really wants, and becoming a mother.so she followed her dream, her dream wasn't being with him and starting a family.
If he were a real person I would tell him to do the same.
He is more romantic than her I guess...but he also didn't want to give up on his job to be with her.
People are people.
