Underrated

I don't get it, there are so many loud moronic action movies out there, but this one is really underrated. Tight action, classic editing - you can actually follow what's happening - good script, enough gore to satisfy most people and a story about friendship and loyalty.
Great movie!

I agree. The subtitles also kept me focused on the film more thus increasing my enjoyment level.

Deserves far more than a 6.0.

Ok, so I'm 30 minutes into this flick and I already think both of you are crazy. So far, this movie has all the making of a 3.0. Very formulaic: divorced cop with a guilty conscience who is too busy for his kid (hardly original there). Ridiculous: this kid can out-run grown-ass adults like an olympic sprinter, but it doesn't really matter because every adult seems to know EXACTLY where he went. WTF, is he wearing a tracking device?? Casting: as much as I like Lindon, he looks sick in this. Not good sick; dying sick. Plus, he's not very believeable as the ex-husband or as a father to that kid, who, by the way, looks NOTHING like him. Honestly. They might as well have cast a black kid. Dialogue: Lindon killed 3 people while DWI. His kid asks Lindon's best friend why his dad was in jail and friend says, "It wasn't his fault." Say WHAT?! Stupid. All in all, I'd say that a 6.0 rating is high.

Yep, I know... Lesson learned. +2 points for wrapping up sensibly, but, overall, the movie was unrealistic. 6.0 is still high.

Yeah, it hits a lot of stock tropes, but I enjoyed it quite a bit nonetheless. I'd put it on the "high average" side, keeping in mind that I really enjoy most action films.
