Bishop Brennan in Jimmy's Hall
Shame they used the same actor, very distracting, kept expecting Father Ted to kick him up the arse.

shareThat's the first thing I thought when I saw Jim Norton. "Don't call me Len, you little prick! I'm a bishop!"
Norton's performance was the finest acting in the film. So you were sitting there thinking about Father Ted? If so, that may be because Jimmy's Hall is not very good cinema. I feel sorry for that poor horse which appeared in nearly every scene. The actor playing Jimmy Grafton was unbearably bland--handsome, no doubt, but totally unconvincing as a charismatic organiser.
I suppose you also expected Andrew Scott to reveal he wasn't actually a priest but Moriarty in disguise, and use his evil genius against the Catholic Church. Feckin' eejit.
He could have been outside the hall with Fr Seamus holding signs saying Careful Now and Done With this Sort of Thing!
