How dig Eisenberg disappear/dissolve into water?

Ok, so help me out with this one please.
Most of the other magic tricks were explained in the movie by showing us how they did it. They showed us how the trick with the three cards worked and how Eisenberg made the rain move etc, but they didn't show or explain how he managed to disappear splashing into the ground.
I get that it was done by cgi when they made the movie, but that does not explain how he would have been able to do the trick, if you get my meaning. We saw the trick from above, and unless there was a trapdoor there, there was no way he would be able to disappear like that. He actually disappeared, we saw the trick from above we would have been able to see him crawl away or something, but he didn't. He simply vanished.
Was this a "mistake" by the movie makers, or are we supposed to believe that he maybe knew real magic?
I guess I already know the answer; The makers expect us to suspend our disbelief - but that doesn't work if I am left wondering enough to ask the question. This again probably leads to the real answer: This is not a well made movie..

i was gonna ask the same thing. made no sense

because that's not something that you were supposed to know. That part was Daniel being him... mysterious. If you recall, Jack also disappeared in a rather... mysterious way.

reply

My guess is that they used a barry (or whatever its called) trap, similar to how they did the find the lady trick with jack wilder. Both j daniel atlas and jack disappeared with something obstructing their view from the audience, which would give them time to go underground via a trap door of some sort. And london does have an underground tunnel system, so its not entirely implausible. I don't try to think about it too much.

reply

CGI, they used CGI.

Because humans are 98% water. It says so on the internet, so it must be true.

You will not find answers for this film if you try to use your brain. No point in thinking.
Don't try to understand it. Just try to keep your thought process at the lowest level possible.

How are we meant to believe the rain control was explained?

reply

The rain control was easy. It's been done YouTube. The rain was all water sprayed from sprinkles/hoses as shown in the movie. The control was connecting them to speakers and adjusting the beat or vibration or something like that. Just search on YouTube and you will find it. Depending on the speed of the beat? They can have the water move a certain way.

reply

Just looked it up on youtube, that is insane! I guess truth is stranger than fiction. Thanks for pointing that out.

reply

Uh, MAGIC?

reply

Are half the people here epically retarded? It's a movie, it's called special effects. Next you're going to ask how they brought the dinosaurs back to life in Jurassic Park.

reply

Genes from blood sucked by mosquitoes, preserved in fossilized resin (amber), repaired with amphibious creatures' genes.

Nothing wrong with asking about a book's plot.
