Funny, I was 30-minutes into it and was thinking "Who wrote this piece of crap?" and when I discovered it was Paul Dini I was shocked. He must've written this in the span of 30 minutes. Beyond reviving some classic characters, like Droopy, it's painfully bad.

I don't really like when people spam things like BTAS on us. Like we're all supposed to say "OMG he helped on BTAS, clearly this was the ultimate best thing ever so let's just assume everything he does is good"....yeah seriously maybe on the internet it's the greatest thing ever to some, but seriously give that kind of stuff a break. Topic could have just said, "written by Paul Dini" and the point would have been less annoying.

That being said, the Tom and Jerry features are coasting, still decent, yet not great. But certainly better than some of the other things be shoved out in it's fellow departments.

But then i'm in a topic praising Paul Dini, so i'm not going to be surprised if the two above me consider DC's direct to videos "good"

EDIT: In general my position on the Tom and Jerry DTV has gone up since then. Loved Spy Quest and Back to Oz. But also in general I appreciate this one more after some more watches.

I'm surprised and disappointed at the hate for this movie. I give it a 7.5. I thought it took a familiar story and added an interesting twist while populating it with tons of classic MGM characters and references. It generally looks good and the songs were decent. All in all I felt that a lot of love and passion went into this one and it's a shame it'll never get any notice for that sadly.

It took me a few watches to fully warm up to this one. I think some parts have been better in some of the other Tom and Jerry movies. Maybe I'm just a bigger fan of those subjects more then Jack, but more views did totally improve my thoughts on this specific one.
