Too far fetched

If there had actually been a UK space programme in 1959, then this film could would have been more believable, but there was no such programme. The film was also a bit boring for my taste, as it was almost entirely set in the capsule. For variety, the flashback talks with his wife could have been filmed on earth, and this would not have added much to the budget. This would have introduced the viewers to the physical presence of her earlier, and giving the later revelation that she was a spy greater impact. Also the chance of two tiny capsules, due to the intervention of the USSR, made to collide with each other was also rather incredulous.

the fact there was no outside scene except for the end shows they had no money for this but wanted to share the story as they saw fit. the end text may have been curate but the resulting film a disaster
