Upon rewatching it ** spoilers**

I was not hugely impressed with my first viewing of the film, I believe it was due to my high expectations however. Having just seen the Soska's American Mary, and the three lead actresses in the film are literally my three favorite horror actresses.

I recently rewatched the film, bought it day it came out despite having already seen it online, and I enjoyed it way more than on the first go round. In terms of a lot of slashers that have come out recently I feel they did an excellent job with the script they had, nd I feel the chase scene ones Jacob knocks the door down, was great, tense. One of the best in a while.

The ending I wasn't a fan of, as someone who is sick of the final girl trend, knowing how the soska's like to go for different and more down beat cynicism in their films, I expected Amy to die, While I didn't neccesarily think that the male lead would die too, I felt it was done in a bit of a non suspenseful way, which is what killed the ending, his performance also went back and forth through out the film.

I would rate this 3.5/5 and I would suggest it to people looking for a fairly enjoyable slasher, but don't go in expecting too much gore, which is the other reason I didn't rate it a 4/5. Gore isn't essential to a good film, but in this particular genre of film, you gotta get creative with the deaths. Katharine's was the closest they came but it was botched with the quasi shoddy CGI.
