Entertaining as a unique idea, but not really a horror film.

It's an interesting idea to use, with plenty of faux commercials and whatnot, which were fun to watch, but the story centering on the actual haunted house is pretty mediocre, if not a bit crappy. Nonetheless, very cool premise, though I wish they put as much thought into their scary story as they did the commercials.

I got to agree. Certainly not a horror film by any stretch of the imagination but still a very novel and clever way to present a found footage movie. The first time I watched it I really enjoyed it but then I tried watching it again and I have to admit that it really bored me and I found the ending disappointing.

This is my signature.

The final portion was somewhat horror, but yeah overall this was kind of a weird comedy. Would've liked less commercials and less cutaways, more time exploring the house and more things jumping out at him.

I would have enjoyed it, but the commercials are just a real drag. They took everything positive out of the flick, beside the over the top acting.
Maybe it's realistic, but they could have just fast forward some of the 50,000 commercials.
The ending was something new, I didn't expect that - I liked it.

I was expecting that to be the case here, so I was slightly disappointed when it didn't happen.

As a whole, I liked the film well enough. The commercials did interrupt the film and I could have done without them, but I think that they added to the movie's realism. One of the biggest things they were trying to do is make it seem like a real broadcast and stupid commercials is one of those things that you see in old VHS tapes. In that aspect it worked, although I do kind of think that this probably would have been better as a film short than a full feature film.

I was kind of glad they didn't veer into the supernatural, but agree the ending was weak.

Pretty much how I felt. Great setup but executed in a mediocre fashion. They spent so much time trying to make the film feel accurate to the time that they forgot to make sure interesting things were happening too. The fake commercials got old and should have been used more sparingly. Also needed some gore or horror in it, had the news stories been more bloody or spooky it would totally have worked.

I agree.
