Bad acting throughout
The lead actor being the major culprit. Probably why they insisted on showcasing his sculpted chest.

I thought it was well acted so there.
shareTotally agree. I thought Martin Henderson did a great job.
shareI don't fault the acting, I fault the directing since I also found this version of the series rather flat.
It was still fun to follow along here while it was first being shown. Even despite it's limitations the mystery aspect was compelling.
It's not what a movie is about, it's how it is about it.
RIP Roger Ebert

Yeah, agreed with everything.
It was beyond bad.
Bad is not the word for it. It was awful, terrible, risible. I watched the last couple of episodes urging him on to find yet another red herring, then stare into the middle distance yet again. None of the actors stood out, except perhaps the cop and the little girl. Oh, and David the guitarist. He was good.
shareAgreed! I decided to check this out because I've been watching the American version, but throughout I found myself thinking "Does this guy have ANY expressions other than bewildered?!"
It's a shame too because I've seen Martin Henderson do a much better job with other roles. He definitely phoned this one in!
Have to agree, and I'm a fan of Martin - especially in 'The Red Road'. I bought this series because I like to check out Aussie dramas and I like Martin, but yeah he wasn't great here. Definitely wasn't compelled to watch the US version.
shareBecause he has very expressive tits?
