Nicolette's wig

Why did she wear a wig? Her real hair is so pretty, so I'm very curious why she wore one at all, but if she had to, they should have at least spent the money on a good one. It was so fake, to the point of being very distracting to me whenever she was on screen, which was most of the movie. If that was a human hair wig, they must have colored it badly, because it had no tones, no dimension. Just one, flat color, like doll's hair. Such a shame. That's the sort of simple, little thing that can affect production quality. I'm not saying it ruined the whole movie, but it bugged me.

So I'm not alone! haha

Her entire appearance in this film was an epic fail. She apparently insisted on wearing a huge wig that was always dropping in her face, in some kind of effort to play a young (?!) woman in a rom/com/Christmas message movie.

She's bloody 50 years old for cripes sake and all the surgery in the world isn't going to stop us noticing that. Sometimes when actresses do so much age-inappropriate stuff, it actually makes them look older. This was one of those cases.

As much as I like her I have to say that her acting in this movie was somewhat painful to watch. And the wig was ... just weird.

I found her hair strange as well. It's also hanging in her face the whole time like she's hiding. I just saw she is seven years older than her love interest in this movie.
I wonder what her hair looks like these days. It was always very pretty.

I have always been a huge fan of Nicolette Sheridan; I loved her on Desperate Housewives as Eve but ESPECIALLY adored her on Knot's Landing as Paige, she had such AMAZING CHEMISTRY w/William Devane's character - yeah he was much older than her character but damn did they have chemistry off the charts!! She was my favorite character on Knot's Landing, and it was a great show. I couldn't wait until the next episode to see Sheridan and Devane share scenes together. It also had some great writing along w/a wonderful cast (which is too long to list), I watched since the very beginning (pilot). I think she's still so beautiful and didn't need the wig b/c her hair is gorgeous (as is she); I guess it was just a part for her character to have that hair (wig). I still enjoyed and loved this movie very much; I miss seeing Nicolette on a regular series b/c she is very talented and has such a wonderful presence on screen.

Anyway, I got past the wig b/c the storyline/plot had a great message in the movie. Its one of my favorite Christmas movies, and I have so many.

I never even noticed.

Seems like you're looking for something to pick on.

It's a Hallmark movie you know.

reply

Exactly. It was a Hallmark movie with a name in the lead, not some no-budget indie flick. I'm sure they had a decent enough budget to spare a thousand bucks for a properly made human hair wig, or they should have. Even extensions would have been better. And I wasn't looking for something to pick on. My point was that I wasn't given any choice but to notice. That rug slapped me in the face the moment she appeared on the screen. The producers just chose to pinch pennies in the wrong places.
