For those of us who finished social nightmare and are now beginning #2...

Thoughts on acting/plot/funny one liners/etc.

The first movie was a 2 hour waste of my time. Hope the second one is better...also..hope I don't fall asleep before it ends(LOL).

reply

me too! Hopefully this one will be better. Social Nightmare was a joke, and I love bad lifetime movies

reply

I have had lifetime on all day while I do some work, starting with "Accused at 17". I cannot believe I watch these movies haha. I saw Aubrey O Day is in this one... Doesn't bode well!

reply

Twenty minutes into the movie and I am about to change it. Where did they get those bimbos? I am done with Lifetime movies for tonight..y'all have a great holiday!

reply

I didn't see the first one..I was just browsing and came across this because I saw Aubrey from Danity Kane

It seems terribly cheesy tho so I may keep watching .

I *almost* stopped watching. But at the 50 minute mark I'm interested... and I genuinely have NO IDEA what's going in... wait, I'm not sure that's a glowing endorsement. :)

But anything making fun of the bachelor is OK with me, However-

They make the girls seem stupid and him seem like super aloof about the whole deal. I don't like the sexist

reply

Boring cheesey and predictable...

For a minute at the hour mark I thought this movie had a plot twist. Nope. One of the usual campy lifetime movies. Worth watching if you like the silly ones. Otherwise it will be a snore.

Just 10 minutes in on the west coast and I'm ready to turn off the tv. I probably won't though because then it means I have to actually finish my reading assignment... lol
The lead actress is really pretty though. But that kiss after the iguana on the leg part? ugh! Such a predictable cheesy Lifetime move.

reply

I actually found it quite different from your typical cheesy Lifetime movie. The acting of the leads wasn't overly campy and over the top or just horribly bad like that other movie that premiered tonight. There also wasn't a neon sign flashing over the killer the entire movie.

reply

it's always the silent, slightly creepy dude with glasses. As a person who wears glasses I am highly offended at the repeated portrayal of my people as psychotic killers.

Haha totally joking. This one had boring moments but overall it was horribly awesome.

I think the only reason this movie appeared to be better than most was the "reality" like environment in the plot. The bad acting and horrible writing was mistaken for an actual reality show and the contestants or "bimbos" casted on the show. Which makes me dislike the film even more than most other Lifetime movies.

reply

I thought the acting was on purpose. They weren't supposed to be giving stellar performances. They were bimbos putting on a fake TV persona. Those reality shows are full of bad actresses trying to make a name for themselves.

reply

Yes, I think the "bad acting" was a mix of purposeful caricatures of reality stars and actual lack of talent. But for the characters who were not cast members of the show, not exactly an excuse :/
