Emily Berrington?

Just me or was her acting terrible? I've never watched her in anything else so I can't judge if she was supposed to be like that. Either way she seemed to be overacting and almost ruined many scenes for me.

I thought she was good in her part as a prentious posho. It annoyed me that they didn't give her a proper conclusion, they just left her.

I think she played her part well, clearly just high on life (and probably other stuff)

And as for a conclusion, I feel like they did.

She was happy just sleeping with Ben and travelling around as she has been since before we met her. Will realised that the old saying "bros before hoes' rings true and he leaves her, don't feel like we needed any more than that.

I actually didn't realise it was the same actress who was recently in 24

Regarding the arguable lack of closure: perhaps Daisy Ridley's exit from the film had something to do with that. I remember a line from Kate about her asking for more money from Will than necessary for the water park tickets. It seemed like it would be more than just a throwaway line, but seeing as it didn't go anywhere, it eventually ended up not making sense. Perhaps Ridley's character tied into that in some way?

That's all I've got, though.

One of the things I enjoyed about the film was that it was relatable and parodic at the same time. For example, the idea of there always being "a *beep* with a guitar" is so accurate. (You know, the guy who plays three chords and sings Wonderwall.)

What I'm trying to say is, whilst Berrington's character is obviously (and, don't forget, intentionally) exaggerated, it's such a bang-on portrayal of the sort of people who go on gap years to 'find themselves'.

This.

He moves his lips when he reads. What does that tell you about him.
