Little bit of an exaggeration there. Two scenes were shortened slightly by the producers after they asked the BBFC for advice on how likely the film was to get a 15 rating. Both scenes are still in the film, and still VERY graphic. As it happens co -director / creator Iain Morris said in a live podcast that he prefers the shorter versions, as he and Damon Beesley were both first time directors, and not sure how long to let certain scenes run for, and the BBFC actually tightened up the scenes and made them funnier.

Sounds like someone speaking in a film commentary who is commenting on a scene that had to be cut for censorship, saying things like, "It went on for too long" or "Who would want to see that"? To me it just shows an excuse for it being cut other than the truth, which is that the sole reason it was cut was because a ratings board decided that it "should" be so as not to "offend" people.

I'm sure the directors were thrilled that the BBFC could make their film "funnier". I've never heard that one before!

No, not an exaggeration. Censored.

Pathetic excuse.

The film was censored because of the BBFC and their cuts-for-cash policy - you pay them and they tell you what to cut to get a lower rating, it’s a disgrace and scam, and now everyone gets a shit censored version. The first film was cut in the UK but an uncut home video release was made available. In the case of Inbetweeners 2, the whole world got the shitty cut version.

Both the BBFC and the greedy sellout producers are to blame.
